Lodges in Polonnaruwa

Just had a wonderful two night stay in this beautifully kept hotel, set in woodland allowing wildlife-watching from the balcony. . The room was immaculately clean, light, airy and well presented. The staff were super friendly and very helpful in making our stay comfortable and our onward journey seamless. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were beautifully presented and excellent value.. We hired bikes (organised by the hotel) which were great for getting to and around the ancient city. Highly recommend a stay at Wildesacpe.

The location in the middle of the jungle was stunning. At night time all you can hear is the sound of the jungle- quite magical. Waking up to the hundreds of birds all around is also very special. Our trips (a boat ride and safari) and all our transport was perfectly organised by Dhammika who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and share his knowledge of the area with us. The food was excellent - Nihal and Ajith made us delicious meals (one breakfast was even served down by the stream which was a lovely surprise). Madurangu and Raju also looked after us so well. We’re so glad we stayed 2 nights. I would happily have stayed much longer!

Owner is very friendly…the room is very clean..the cleaner aunty every day clean the room.Very comfortable bed & everything ☺️.the lodge is near by town.best hotel😊 value of money ✅
