We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem. The mule pick-up service added a unique touch, making us feel like true adventurers as we arrived at the property. Our room had breathtaking views and we couldn't get enough of the ever-changing panorama and the sounds of the river stream and birds around us. We enjoyed Polo's culinary skills, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. The chocolate tour was an absolute highlight! Learning about the process while indulging in treats was an experience we won't soon forget. Also the inclusion of local fruits from the grounds was a delightful touch. It felt like a genuine connection to the land and its offerings. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, Polo's warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. We stayed in one of the "cabanas" rooms that are open to the sea and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The mosquito net worked fine and there was a fan, plus with the breeze and good quality mattress it was actually quite comfortable. The staff of the hotel and restaurant / bar are fantastic, special shout out to Juan! The food at the restaurant was some of the best we've had in Colombia, including a very generous breakfast. The pool area was great to relax too. The beach by the hotel is probably one of the cleanest and nicest in the region. Viewing the sunset both on the river where you can observe caymans, and on the oceans where you can watch surfers, was a great experience.

The hostel far exceeded our expections with a wonderful greeting from our host, Carmen, who was always happy, smiling and helpful. Due to the price we paid, we expected a much cheaper feeling, but everything from the facilities to the personnel was excellent. While there's no food on the premises a small restaurant very nearby has one of the best menus of the day, we've had in Colombia! The breakfast on site was per plate instead of a buffet, which meant it was freshly made.

I loved how welcoming our hosts Justine & Danny were, plus they had amazing activities to offer. The kitchen area is just perfect to prepare some delicious dinner. The communal area with hammocks, couches and the pool are just perfect to relax after an adventure and the property is well maintained. Proximity to Tayrona National Park is just 10 walking minutes to the next entrance.

Posadas Ecoturisticas Seineken is located in the countryside outside of Santa Marta. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens.

We stayed with Luci before and after a few days in Tayrona park. Her hospitality made it feel like a home away from home. She was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. It is located a few minutes walk from the park entrance but set slightly back from the busy main road so is really peaceful. Buses can be flagged down at the roadside heading in either direction. She was also able to store luggage for us whilst in the park for a very small fee.

For the price this is a fantastic option pre/post Tayrona. We messed up our dates on our booking and were exhausted after the lost city trek. The owners were so accommodating and organised a room at the last minute. Fredy was patient with our basic Spanish and extremely helpful all Through our stay. Highly recommend. We loved sitting on our terrace overlooking the river.

This is a very unique experience that you do not easily get else where! From the bottom of the mountain going up and until you get down again after your stay, you are fully covered into jungle, tranquillity and no-tourism. Out of the real world and back to nature. The way up is challenging, so do not expect a real road and you have to be in a good shape! It is done by bike dudes that bring you to a certain point up and you finish your way up by yourself. The stay is not a normal stay since the hosts Juan Pablo and Marcel take care of you as a family. They cook breakfast, lunch and dinner (for extra cost) for all the guests with the organic food from the jungle and everyone is relaxing, making music, chatting and eating together. But no worries if you need some privacy, the houses are very nice, build as it used to be in a jungle and the dome is a very unique experience in the forest. You can do some hikes in the surrounding area at the waterfall where you are the only one. The stay is sustainable, organic and self-sufficient, so you drink and shower with the mountain water and the toilet feces are used for the surrounding area to grow plants. If you have a weak stomach, I recommend to bring a big bottle of drinking water.
