Great location, very close to many tourist resorts such as Kiyomizu-dera, Kodak-ji, Ninen-zaka & Sannen-zaka. Also very convenient to take bus to everywhere else. The staff members are very nice and warm-hearted, they helped me with reservations of several hot restaurants. Ms Becky is one of the best.

The room was generous in Japanese standards. The location is to the west of the busy shopping area of Kyoto but not too far to walk to. The best part facility is definitely the public bath that is open form 15.00 to the following morning 10.00. Absolutely excellent. After a sweaty day outside it is amazing to soak in the hot bath and even in the morning it allows a relaxed start to the day.

One of the best hotels we stayed at on our trip to Japan. They have an amazing bakery, restaurant and rooftop bar on site, all food and drinks were delicious. The staff here are extremely helpful. They helped us book a round of golf at a nearby club which wasn’t easy and they were very patient and helpful with us. Great customer service!

Beautiful room a little roomier than expected. Beautifully furnished and styled. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower. Both hand held and rainfall shower. Free toiletries smelled amazing. The provided body towel for scrubbing were amazing on the skin. Just a beautiful place to relax after a big day of exploring. Onsen was lovely and view from rooftop bar was stunning. Being able to soak your feet with a drink at the end of a long day was great.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Gion. The room was spacious, with a tatami space and beautiful details. Free amenities include very nice bath salts. The hotel is relatively small and has a very calm and cosy atmosphere. Our room did not have a view but the room itself was so nice that it wasn’t an issue.

    Come here for the crowds.

    Come here for the crowds. Prepare to hear any other language than Japanese. It is a nice area but only inversely morning or later in the night when the crowds thin out. If your there between 10am-3pm be prepared to swim against the crowd where the shops in either side start to repeat themselves every 100 meters. Come in the evenings and this is when you will get your old city exp
