Apparition Hill

Originally known as Mount Podbrdo, this Međugorje landmark rose to fame in 1981, when locals reported a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary. The spots where the visions took place are now marked by crosses and statues, and pilgrims flock here from far and wide to make the rocky scramble up to the shrine.

    It is a MUST GO place.

    It is a MUST GO place. Yes, there is a hill to get there, but its very possible to climb it. When you get there is a peacefull place and an awasome place to see the sundown (and probably the sunshine, too). Medjugorje is a piece of heaven. And the BEST PLACE to eat!!!

    Nice and clean well-located apartment between the Cross and Apparition Hill. Across the street, there’s a footpath leading to the city and Apparition Hill. A bit further, another footpath takes you to a beautiful adoration chapel next to a castle. Airco and parking are handy. Just outside the busy centre.

    The apartment is in a very good location near Apparition Hill. The hostess was very kind and accommodating, and made sure that we as guests were truly satisfied. The apartment was beautifully and modernly furnished. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. It takes about 5 minutes by car to reach the center and the church. Check-in and check-out were flawless and very straightforward. The price-performance ratio was excellent

    Totally enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The apartment was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, the host was very kind and friendly, the facilities were great - practically had everything you need for a short stay away from home including tea & coffee. The location was perfect - close to the foot of the apparition hill and possibly less than 1- 2 minutes walk to Blue Cross. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

    Hotel is located in quiet area, next to cemetery, about 20 minutes walk to the church and the same distance to the Apparition Hill. Very good WiFi connection in the building. There is Chapel in the hotel - it’s been a blessing to be there!

    It’s a well furnished apartment. You can do your own laundry anytime. The location is very Central and only few minutes walk to St James Church. Restaurants and souvenir shops are right in front. Anna, the owner is also friendly. It’s 30 minutes walk to Apparition Hill.

    Good hospitality, we were given welcoming drinks, helpful staff and perfect location to the apparition hill & the blue cross. The hotel also provide trekking pole for use to climb the apparition hill.

    We had the apartment which was massive with 3 bedrooms ( 1 double bed, others had 2 single rooms) Hearty breakfast served in restaurant included eggs, cheese ham toasties, and bread ham selection. Also fresh croissants and cereal available. Hotel is a 5 min walk to St James Church and 30 mins to Apparition Hill. Set in centre of town everything was close by.
