The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

Situated in Ko Yao Yai, 4.5 km from Laem Had Beach, Better View Koh Yao Yai features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. A highly skilled and experienced French gentleman named Jerome has recently taken charge of this establishment. He has begun implementing thorough changes that are enhancing both the rooms and the resort as a whole. I am confident that it will soon transform into a remarkable destination resort! During our visit in December '24, there was no restaurant available, but one is planned. There were lovely restaurants very nearby. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Better View and would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed every moment we spent there. The rooms are beautiful, huge and very clean, and the whole atmosphere is pleasant and quiet.
