This place is such a wonderfully cozy and casual place, with hosts that always greet you with a smile and any help they can offer. The location is beautiful, in the small village of Kosec near Kobarid. The breakfasts were very generous and delicious, with hot and cold foods, fresh fruit. We enjoyed dinner here one night - a lovely evening on the main patio overlooking the mountains with delicious homemade local cuisine, cooked by the mom. The room is appropriately not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable and just spacious enough. Sitting on our own private patio enjoying wine while looking at the mountains was infinitely relaxing! And they directed us to the local trail, an easy 1 1/2 hour hike, which was beautiful with many waterfalls! Great advice!!

Even though it was just before travel season, and we were the only ones staying in the guest house, the owner arranged a very smooth check-in and check-out process so that we could be flexible about our plans. The place itself is charming and close to the centre of Kobarid. The owner suggested a nice place for dinner. The shower in the room was exceptional - a delightful setup after our challenging hikes in the area.

El entorno es una maravilla, estás en pleno bosque. Mi hermana y yo nos alojamos en una preciosa cabaña de madera. Contaba con dos futones súper cómodos, dos mesillas con dos lamparitas, una luz general también para la estancia, una pequeña nevera que se agradecía y dos toallas para cada una. Junto a la nevera, teníamos las luces y un enchufe para cargar nuestros aparatos electrónicos. Fuera podías hacer uso en tu propia cabaña de un parking para el coche al lado, una hamaca y dos tumbonas. También había una mesita de madera con dos asientos junto a una hoguera que podías encender si querías. Teníamos al lado la cocina, totalmente equipada con todo lo que puedas necesitar e incluso una barbacoa exterior. No os va a faltar de nada en este sentido. También había una fuente de agua potable. Un poco más alejado, junto a la recepción, estaban los baños compartidos. Muy limpios y eficientes. Tienes también una maquina expendedora que te salva de alguna emergencia de snacks y bebidas pero lo mejor es que os subáis compra desde Kobarid, el pueblo más cercano. El chico que gestiona el camping es súper majo, nos hizo un montón de buenas puntualizaciones y recomendaciones para disfrutar del entorno. Nos regaló unas bebidas de bienvenida, nos dio mapas, trucos... ¡Fue un placer!

Contando con un jardín, un salón compartido y una terraza, Cottage Trenta tiene hospedaje en Bovec con WiFi gratis y vistas a la montaña. We had the most amazing few days at Cottage Trenta. It is totally 'away from it all' and, I will admit, a little daunting when we first got there. I soon relaxed and realised how special it was though and how lucky we were to be there. You literally are in the middle of nowhere, there is a hikers restaurant which is about 1.5 km away (and was incredible) but other than that only a few other small huts and houses, none of which you can see when you are there - you really do need a car. The cottage feels as if it is a part of the landscape, built with and around the rocks. It is basic - the running water is rainwater (drinking water is provided), there's an 'outside' loo, the shower is literally outside - but there's no one to see you washing in the open air, you're surrounded by forests and mountains. However, the modern updates are really well done, there's a wood-fired hot tub to enjoy the peace and stars from, there's free standing bath in the bedroom. Sitting outside for breakfast was one of the most special moments - utter silence other than birds, a moment to enjoy the sunshine reflecting from the mountains. Not a single indication of other people being anywhere near you. It's at the start of the Soca River and you can walk to the source of the river. We spent a day walking the Soca River Trail, which was stunningly beautiful, and then got the bus back to the end of the road. The bedrooms were simple, but what we needed. Ladder-style steps take you upstairs where there are two eaves curtained off with a sleeping area behind each and a double bedroom with the most beautiful view of the mountains. I felt like Heidi! We travelled with our 2 teenage boys and it was the first time they started talking to us that holiday! (There is a little wi-fi but not much - and they didn't need to know that ;-) ) I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but for us it was perfect.
