This property sits in the middle of the vineyards. All within easy reach by car or taxi. It was tranquil and relaxing. We enjoyed the fantastic views with sundowners each evening sitting outside the cottage. The smell of the lavender added to the mood. Afterwards we lit the stove inside. Jason came with more logs and kindling in case we ran out. At a reasonable extra cost we ordered a charcuterie platter one evening. It was generous in size and delicious. Fresh eggs from their own hens were provided in the cottage along with milk, bread, butter/jam/marmalade. On leaving we needed a large taxi for all our luggage for the airport which Jason organised for us the night before we left.

The spot is tranquil and beautiful. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There's so much to do for adults and kids and the accommodation is very comfortable. The meals in the restaurant are delicious and very generous servings. We didn't want to leave.

Ofreciendo vistas al mar, Firkins Retreat, Picton ofrece hospedaje con un balcón y tetera, y se ubica aproximadamente a 19 minutos a pie de Picton Memorial Park Beach. We couldn’t believe our luck walking up the stairs to see the house and view for the first time! Firkins Retreat is truly a retreat. Great amenities including a full kitchen and outdoor spa (which has a great view while you’re in it!) and we were amazed at how well considered and private it is. Brad was very responsive and friendly too. Would definitely stay here again!

Quite handy to Picton and bays along the way. Hot tub was prepared for us and quite a bonus. Welcomed and shown the facilities by a local for the owner.
