民宿 和合 Minshuku WAGO está ubicado en Tanabe, a 2 minutos a pie de Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art y a 29 km de Sala de Conciertos Kamitonda. Excellent place to stay on the Kumano Kodo trail. Close to the bus stop. The host is very friendly. They offer excellent food. Our room was Japanese style. Very clean, comfortable and beautiful. I highly recommend this place.

高野山 宿坊 光明院 -Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin- está ubicado en Koyasan, a 39 km de Kishi Station y a 45 km de Matsushita Park. It was such an amazing experience. Thank you to the monk staff who were so kind and patient and guided us through meditation custom and practices. Our room included shojin ryori (buddhist vegetarian cuisine) breakfast and dinner which was very balanced and filling. I feel a sense of gratitude and peace coming back to Tokyo. I would like to go every year if I can.

A sacred stay I’ll never forget Staying at this guesthouse in Fuki was an absolute blessing. Akemi and Tomo are truly special people—so kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. I felt safe, cared for, and deeply supported throughout my stay. Their warmth and presence made all the difference, especially as I was traveling solo. The guesthouse itself is a beautifully preserved traditional Japanese home, full of charm and quiet energy. The village, with only around 200 people, offers an authentic glimpse into life near Kōyasan—deeply connected to nature, community, and spirituality. I was incredibly lucky to have the entire house to myself, and even more so to receive a private tour of Kōyasan from the hosts, which was personal and full of insight. Although the weather was unexpectedly cold for this time of year, the hosts did their best to keep the space warm, offering extra blankets and heaters. Just be aware that heaters typically can’t be left on overnight, so it can get chilly. Even with that, I would absolutely rate the stay as exceptional. The home-cooked breakfasts and dinners were a highlight—delicious, nourishing, and made with so much care. I also spent a peaceful day resting, reading, writing, and enjoying the slow rhythm of the village. It was a deeply grounding and meaningful experience. If you’re looking for something quiet, real, and full of heart, this is the place. I left feeling incredibly grateful.

Samsara Inn 今だけオープン特別価格 está ubicado en Tanabe, a 15 minutos a pie de Playa Tanabe Ogigahama y a 400 metros de Tokei Shrine, y ofrece wifi gratis y aire acondicionado. Everyone was so nice and accommodating! The decor and lighting was really cool, and it was very helpful to have so much space and laundry machines inside the room. The onigiri and vegan ice cream cone were also really good!
