Yumotokan tiene una ubicación excelente en el barrio de Ogoto Onsen, a 16 km de Templo Enryaku-ji, a 17 km de Monte Hiei y a 19 km de Templo Shoren-in. The room was spacious and clean. Free snacks and tea were included, and amenities were readily available. Dinner was excellent, and breakfast was good, too. I tried 3 out of 4 of the public baths (none of the reservable private ones, though) and found them all to be very nice. I liked the indoor one on the 8th floor (which had an open air as well) the most, though the open air bath on the 11th floor was great , too. Staff were very friendly and warm, too. It was easy to access from Ogoto onsen station because there's a phone that allows you to call the shuttle bus.

The apartment was very clean and spacious and has everything that you might need for a comfortable stay. Aki-san is a very nice and caring host, and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended to stay here, but it is better to have a car, which we did, and it was easy to find the location with google map.

With the hotel being newly opened, the facilities were spotless. I enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, admiring the sunset behind the Hira mountains. Dinner was a meat lover's dream, with every course bursting with flavor and perfectly paired wines. The next morning, we indulged in a breakfast made from fresh Omi vegetables, delivered via room service so we could savor it while taking in the scenic view of Lake Biwa. And the staff were all incredibly friendly.

The owner, Fujiwara, left us wanting for more. He picked us up from the station and gave us a tour of the city, as well as bringing us to a supermarket to get some food for dinner and breakfast the next day. He was incredibly sweet and helpful. The house was beautiful and the city was quiet. We could relax completely. We have nothing else to say but thanks, and we will come back!
