The hotel is also very safe, with police cars parked at the entrance 24 hours a day and someone on duty.

Dating back to the 11th century, Leon Bianco is in Piazza della Cisterna, one of San Gimignano’s main squares. During summer, breakfast is served on the quiet, relaxing terrace.

Rooms have original features such as wood-beamed ceilings and modern amenities including air conditioning and satellite TV. WiFi access is available in the lobby and rooms. There is also an internet point. We loved San Gimignano and the location of the hotel was perfect - in the square, but quiet. The room was a little basic (but we really can’t complain given the price!) but clean, comfortable and roomy. We had a garden view which was great as we overlooked the stunning countryside. The staff were lovely - very accommodating, polite and professional. If (when!) we return to San Gimignano, we would definitely stay at Leon Bianco.

The fitness centre is equipped with a small gym, sauna, hot tub and steam room. A relaxation area and massages are also available. The staff were all lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. From Natale in the restaurant to Sergio driving, were fantastic. We travelled with a 10yr and 8yr old and they were made to feel so welcome.

You can book free guided excursions on the Via Francigena path. Great and friendly staff, beautiful location and excellent food. We felt welcome all the time and would love to come back another time.

The Savoia's large rooms feature an LCD satellite TV and elegant parquet floors. Some also enjoy views of the valley and mountains, while others overlook the forest. Pets are allowed at a cost of EUR 35 per stay, per room. Staff was extremeky friendly, everything was clean and comfortable. Great Value. Drfinitely coming again!
