Zandvlakte is an operational farm offering accommodation in restored buildings, dating from 1811 to the late 1900s and is located in the Baviaanskloof Hartland Private Game Reserve. This property is a perfect getaway for friends and family looking for a serene escape from the city.
Accommodation is provided in either self-catering family units or en-suite twin rooms. The rooms and units are furnished with comfortable single beds and private bathrooms. The self-catering family units each have a kitchen that is equipped with a stove, fridge and microwave. The units have comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi. MTN mobile reception is available.
Communal dinners are served at the main homestead where all the guests share the dinner table. Traditional boerekos is served as three-course buffet meals. For the warmer days, guests can lounge by the communal swimming pool or explore the property’s gardens.
Guests have access to secure parking and various activities such as hiking routes, bike rides, guided tours of the surrounding areas and there are 4x4 trails. They can also enter the Baviaanskloof Hartland Private Game Reserve from Willowmore’s side. The property has access to a landing strip for the guests who would like to visit by plane.
