APHRODITE Beachfont Resort is set in an idyllic environment surrounded by an unspoilt , sleepy farming area of citrus orchards. Property (holiday homes) like ours, are owned by people of many different nationalities (British, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, various EU nationals etc) and, these people come holidaying at different times of the year; as such, the resort does not get crowded...tranquility reigns!

I am a retired English Language Teacher, married. Have 2 daughters (a chemist & a public servant ) each with a son aged 7 & 4 . I taught both in secondary & tertiary institutions . Nowadays, I enjoy travelling & try my best caring for my G/sons. Mr Tülek is a senior lecturer.

Güzelyurt town is only 10 minutes' drive away. Nature Museum is in the Center of town. Every Saturday from 0730 to 14.00 There is open market where villages from around bring and sell produce like cheeses, vegetables, fruits, cookies and many home cooked delicasys. The Municipality closed vegetables market is open every day except Sunday. Shopping Malls are open usually from9 am to 10pm even on Sundays. At different times,especially over week-ends a festival -cultural, festive, agricultural - will be found ALL around Northern Cyprus. Historical sites dating back to stone age, Persian, phoenician, Roman-Hellenic, Ottoman and British colonial times abound in the vicinity. Golf course is 10 minutes' drive away. STATE hospital is next to the golf course. Walking among citrus orchards is a blessing for ones soul. A visit to the dam harnessing water carried over from Anatolia mainland by an undersea suspended pipeline must be seen (15 min. drive). In winter time, skiing on troodos hights is possible depending on sufficient snowfall.
