Large 5 room private suite in large home on Portage Lakes. Entire suite is at water level with a view from every room. **Large living room with seating for 10, 2 large BR, 1 foyer BR, large fully stocked kitchen, 2 TV's, laundry, private patio, boat slip & lake access Owners live on upper 2 floors and do not share any space with vacation rental. Our guests love our private and very quiet getaway. Great for professionals and guests visiting the Portage Lakes and Akron/Canton/Cleveland area.
We are retired owners of a golf distribution and logo wear company. We were born and educated in the area at Hoban HS and Our Lady of the Elms HS. Graduate of John Carroll University. When first married we lived in Jacksonville, FL while David served as a Naval Aviator and Air Traffic Control Officer at Cecil Field. Qualified to fly Cessna 150, Cessna 172 & 182, Citabria, Piper Lance, T-34, T-28, S-2, C-1, T-2A, B, C, TA-4F, J. Certified Air Traffic Controller Commercial Pilot License We enjoy golf, puttering, gourmet cooking and living in the peaceful Portage Lakes. Marti can follow a recipe to perfection or create her own delicious concoction from her long experience. Need help? We are here to provide what you need. We live on the 2 floors above and are usually available. Just ask.
A live and let live area. Enjoy the lakes and the many attractions available in our area. Walk to Dustys Yacht Club for a quiet drink and conversation with locals or enjoy the scheduled entertainment. Want to rock a little, head to Upper Deck for an eclectic crowd and a little loud music. Also highly recommended, is Pick's on Portage Lakes Dr. and The Ramp on S. Main St 1/4 mile N of SR619. At any restaurant or bar nearby, you may be sitting next to someone worth millions or only a few thousand. The best part, it doesn't matter. If you want to know anything, just ask the nearest person. Take a walk from our home to Marina Dr and then a footpath to Lahm Dr and enjoy the New England charm of Turkeyfoot Island. Biking in the neighborhood is enjoyable. The speed limit on SR619 is 35 mph. Though it is a busy road at times, you can tour the lake roads. Remember that the most attractive side of the local houses face the water. Many homes have a garage facing the road and the house may barely be visible.
