The first records of our Pri Štefacovih homestead date back to 1628. It is located in the monument-protected village of Žerovnica on the outskirts of Lake Cerknica. We have revived and renovated the house and made sure it offers all the comfort you expect. During the renovation, we used wood from local forests, which gives the rooms a special warmth and homeliness. The authentic house offers a private parking lot with a charging station for electric vehicles (A fee may apply. Please contact us for more information.).On warm days you can enjoy the large garden, and on colder days you can warm up by the fireplace and relax in the sauna. The bright and airy modern farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped, the guest lounge is cozy and comfortable, and the three bedrooms are decorated with style and love. Most of the furniture is an authentic legacy of our ancestors.

We are a family that has lived and farmed on the homestead for centuries. We are engaged in beekeeping, breed Lipizzaner horses and have recently been engaged in organic farming as well. We hope that our homely house will offer you at least a tiny part of the authenticity of our wonderful environment.

The house is located on the main road and is close to some wonderful places to visit. In the immediate vicinity are: the famous intermittent lake Lake Cerknica, Bloke Lake, the magical mountain Slivnica, the mysterious karst cave Križna Cave, Snežnik Castle and the ruins of Šteberk Castle, part of which is on the family's estate. The house is a good starting point for a visit the famous Postojna Cave, Stud farm Lipica, the Slovenian coast, Alps and the capital Ljubljana, ect. The village of Žerovnica is located near the larger town of Cerknica, 7 km away, with all local amenities. In Cerknica, it is possible to rent bicycles for sightseeing. There is a restaurant in the village and the nearest shop is 1 km away in Grahovo.
