The main bedroom features an ensuite and an adjoining study/dressing room - ideal for quiet time or remote work. A second bathroom and separate toilet are conveniently located near the remaining two bedrooms, making it easy for families or groups to spread out. For active getaways, practical features include a lock-up bike shed and a secure drying room for boots, skis, and snowboards, complete with a tumble dryer - so all your gear is ready for the next day’s adventures. Adding to its unique charm, the famous spiral railway line runs along the bottom of the property, a highlight for history and rail enthusiasts. Adventure is never far away, with Whakapapa Ski Field just 16 minutes’ drive, Turoa less than an hour, and the Sky Waka gondola only 16 minutes. In summer, enjoy cycling and walking tracks, rafting, and the renowned Tongariro Crossing. Cosy, practical, and perfectly located - Railside Chalet is your home away from home in the heart of Ruapehu. Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your be aware that there is a small running stream located behind the property which is unfenced. Extra care should be taken especially with children.
