El íntimo Hotel Van Den Hogen cuenta con 4 habitaciones dobles, la mayoría con hermosas vistas al IJsselmeer. Podrá disfrutar de paseos por la naturaleza, paseos en barco o explorar la zona en bicicleta. TV en color, ducha y aseo. Cerca del hotel se pueden alquilar bicicletas. Cada 15 minutos hay un autobús que lleva a la estación central de Ámsterdam en 30 minutos. El restaurante del hotel está situado cerca del mercado de pescado del puerto de Volendammer y ofrece vistas magníficas al mar. Aquí se pueden ver barcos de pesca que salen y llegan todo el día, y seguir las actividades en el mercado. Este restaurante a la carta existe desde hace más de 100 años y es famoso por sus excelentes platos de pescado. Solo se puede acceder a las habitaciones por las escaleras. No hay ascensor. Hay aparcamiento gratuito en la zona de ocio de Slobbeland y aparcamiento de pago en el garaje del centro Volendam.
