Coco Villa is a boutique local guesthouse that will charm you from first sight with its clean tropical appearance. Walking through the reception enclosing a small comfy sitting area and a library, you’ll get inside our lush garden faced by an intimate dining area. The guesthouse offers 11 double rooms and 1 family suite, all on ground floor, each opening to its own private terrace, where guests can drink in peace their morning coffee. The family suite encloses two separate bedrooms and a nice living area and can comfortably accommodate three adults or a family with two young children. All rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern style, preserving yet the original Maldivian “flavor” to be found in traditional elements of natural décor and hand-picked touches, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Casual things to do: - Join the daily soccer game of local youth at 17.00 o’clock. They will be very happy to join them in either Shirts On or Shirts Off team :) - Snorkel the house reef just 50 meters away from our beautiful “bikini” beach; free snorkel gear provided at the guesthouse - Take a tour of the local farms and see the plantations of fruits and vegetables that made the island famous: passion fruits, papaya, mangoes, watermelon, eggplants, zucchinis, tomatoes, lettuce etc - Visit one of the five local cafés and take the pulse of the local “city life”. Photo, one of our staff will be very happy to take you with him at “coffee time” :) - Swim with the fluorescent plankton by night - Bicycle tour. Rent a bike and go around the island , check the mosque, the school, the harbor etc - Take a visit to the local souvenir shop, where you can meet Moosa, the artisan of the island, who will often invite you inside his home for a chat and proudly show you his ongoing art works - Have fun playing a board game from our game closet and bond with other guests. Players will usually receive some free snacks ;)
