The location cannot be better with fine dining restaurants, cafes, beach clubs, public transport and Malta's largest retail shopping complex – The Point just a few steps away. The coastline in this area offers great swimming and snorkelling activities in the clear blue mediterranean waters and is a great spot for diving. For more convenience certain spots along the coast have beach clubs or lidos, where sun-beds, water sports and other facilities are available. Sliema is a town located on the northeast coast of Malta. It is a centre for shopping, restaurants and café life. Tas-Sliema is also a major commercial and residential area and houses several quality hotels. Tas-Sliema, which means 'peace, comfort', was once a quiet fishing village on the peninsula across Marsamxett Harbour from Valletta. Now Tas-Sliema and the coastline up to neighbouring St. Julian's constitutes Malta's main coastal and touristic resort.
