Founded in 2014, Vinet Corporation is an IT service provider in Kumamoto, Japan, specializing in Web system development for e-learning, GIS (Geographic Information System), etc. Chief Executive Officer Ryoichi Murashima is from Kumamoto City. In addition to running the company, he also works as a consultant in international cooperation, providing IT support in developing countries. In 2020, we moved our head office to Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture. We started "Kikuchi Mirai Base," a co-working and life design space that fosters new community-based exchanges and expands initiatives and activities to create a new future together with local residents.

The house is a 100-year-old traditional kominka house in the Fukagawa district of Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, that has been renovated and is used as a workroom, shared kitchen, and guest room by visitors to Kikuchi and local residents. As for accommodations, two Japanese-style guest rooms (maximum capacity of 4 persons) and a lounge can be used by up to 7 persons. On Saturdays and Sundays, the entire facility can be rented for an additional fee of 11,000 yen (tax included). If you wish to use the entire facility, please make an additional request at the time of reservation (the fee will be settled on-site upon check-in). How about an outdoor garden party? Tables, chairs, tableware, and hot plates are available for 1,000 yen per person (minimum of 3 people). Notes. *This facility does not have a 24-hour front desk service like most hotels. Our staff will guide guests upon arrival and departure, so please let us know in advance for check-in and check-out times. *Because it is an old house, the stairs to the second floor are steep, making it difficult for people with disabilities. *The owner will also use the shower room and shared kitchen. Please be aware of this in advance.

The Fukagawa area of Kikuchi City, where Kikuchi Mirai Base is located, is the birthplace of the Kikuchi clan, which was active for about 450 years from the Heian period to the late Muromachi period. It was designated as a national historic site in 2023. As a historically significant area, Fukagawa is where the first lord, Noritaka Kikuchi, settled around 1070. The Kikuchi River watershed spreads in the surrounding area and is known for its abundant rice harvests. Visitors can enjoy the countryside with its rural landscape on foot or using a shared bicycle. While the countryside is relaxing and quiet, it is also conveniently located within walking distance of supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, home centers, restaurants, and other amenities. The downtown area, Waifu, where Kikuchi Onsen, known for its skin-friendly "cosmetic hot springs," is located, is approximately 3 km from Kikuchi Mirai Base. You can also enjoy delicious food and drinks made from local ingredients there. We also recommend renting a car and driving to Kikuchi Valley or Aso. Aso, one of the world's largest caldera volcanoes, is a 30-minute drive from Kikuchi. In Aso, you can enjoy magnificent scenery and power spots.
