Since 1960 Hiromiya Toji Stay has transformed itself from a tofu shop to a Japanese inn to a vegetable shop and now is a place where locals and travellers get together. Located in one of the steamiest towns in Japan, Kannawa, Beppu, we invite you to heal your mind and body in the mineral rich Kannawa hot springs. Hiromiya Toji Stay is located in Kannawa, Beppu, a special mineral rich hot spring area. The hot spring sources in Kannawa are very hot. Cooling down these hot springs sources from 200 degrees celsius to 45 degrees, releases an abundance of steam into the sky. The locals call this one of a kind scenic steam view, "yukemuri". For cat lovers, while walking through the steam covered cobblestone paths and back alleys of Kannawa, you may meet a variety of local cats, enjoying the warmth from the hot spring steam. Enjoy Japanese art, music and dance? The Japanese performing arts theatre, Yangu Centre, only a 1 min walk from Hiromiya has two daily performances. This artistic and cultural activity is fun and entertaining for young and old, regardless if you understand Japanese or not. Enjoy Kannawa ♨
