Located in the heart of the historic center, Feluca holiday home offers, on one side, a splendid 180 degree view of the Ferrini municipal park and on the other the tranquility and charm of a 18th-century inner courtyard. The apartment, within the building complex of Casa Botta / Villa Maghetti, consists of a bedroom, a bathroom, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and living room, a beautiful south-facing balcony, an ancient internal stone staircase for the exclusive use of the guest and a private parking. In addition, there is also available a Smart TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, sheets, blankets and towels, hairdryer, a coffee maker/moka, a kettle, a small microwave and a fridge.
I was immediately impressed by the beauty of this historical complex and with the recent and thorough renovation that brought the building back to its former glory. I was fascinated by the wide stone staircases, the door and the railings, the frescoes and decorations and the loggia facing the inner courtyard. I felt transported back in time. I decided then to share with you this historical venue, in balance between memory and contemporaneity.
A few steps from Feluca, you will find everything you need: shops, laundries, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, pastry/ice cream shops and the famous Wednesday city market. You can immediately immerse yourself in the old town among the uphill streets, the Renaissance and Baroque palaces, the courtyards, the loggias and the old artisan shops. You can also enjoy, just a few minutes away, other amenities such as the lakeside promenade, the beaches, the old port, the various scenic routes and all the points of interest of the city. The property can be reached in just half an hour by car from Varese and Lugano. If you take the train, the train station is a 10-minute walk away, while the boat and bus are about 200 meters away. Near the apartment you will also find the main bus stops for connections to Switzerland and neighbouring villages. A bike rental service and charging stations for electric cars are available nearby as well.
