The Duomo, Porta Torre, Brunate and its Lighthouse: you will feel like you are embracing the whole city of Como and its highlights in a single glance from CASA LUNA! This original one-bedroom apartment, located in a newly renovated historic building in the heart of Como, will be the welcoming starting point for your sightseeing. Furnished with care and imagination, CASA LUNA welcomes you into its living room, with a dining table for 4, for lunches and dinners with family and friends. Next to it is the relaxation corner with a sofa for resting, reading a book and watching a movie, which can become a single bed or a double bed for the night for one or two additional guests. To the left of the sofa you can climb up the step to reach the small window and see part of the facade and the celestial dome of the Duomo! The room is lit by the window that opens onto the small balcony: look out over the rooftops of the historic center, spoiling a coffee or aperitif! The kitchen is separate, modern and complete with everything you need. The romantic double bedroom, with exposed wooden beams, also has its own small balcony with a view. A bathroom with shower completes the apartment. A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast. Free Wi-Fi for the guests. Please note: the apartment is located on the 4th floor of a historic building with no elevator. You have to climb a few flights of stairs, but the effort will be rewarded by the view! Just below the apartment is the excellent vegan restaurant "Il Lughino." The apartment has no parking available. Guests can easily reach the apartment by using the city's public transportation, or by paying parking outside the walled city. Nearby:  From CASA LUNA you are in the very heart of Como's historic center and can stroll through its cobbled streets, stores, bars and restaurants, churches and pretty squares. In 5 minutes you can reach: the famous Piazza Duomo, with its marvelous cathedral (of which you have a splendid glimpse from the apartment) and its Broletto, both worth a visit; Piazza San Fedele, a pretty little square with the Romanesque-style basilica of the same name; Via Vittorio Emanuele, among the most renowned streets for shopping; Piazza Volta, very lively for aperitifs and after-dinner al fresco all year round; and Porta Torre, one of the historic entrances to the walled city. It is also a 5-minute walk to Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which it is possible to take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat and reach the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). On foot, or by renting city bikes, you can reach Villa Olmo and its park by taking the picturesque walk from the Hangar, and Villa Geno by riding along the lakefront Viale Geno. At the beginning of Viale Geno is also the Funicular railway station to reach Brunate and its lighthouse, where you can stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants, or continue with a scenic trek to the Lario mountains, with a break at one of the mountain huts you'll encounter along the way. How to get there:  By car, from the A9 highway take the Como Nord exit and set your GPS: in 5/10 minutes you will reach the parking lots closest to the apartments, from which you can walk to the apartment in a few minutes. By train, get off at Como S. Giovanni station, or Como Lago station, and in just 10 minutes walk you will reach the apartment.
