Just past Porta San Bigio, you will find yourself 50 meters from the lovely church of San Matteo, and continuing our typical narrow streets, you will arrive in Piazza Sant'Oronzo, with its fascinating and famous "slice" of the Roman Amphitheatre, the most expressive monument of Lupiae, the Roman ancestor of Lecce. After 400 meters you will see the picturesque setting in which stands the Cathedral of Lecce, the Baroque Cathedral, the main destination of tourists and home to the Archdiocese. From here Castello Carlo V is only 5 minutes far, and if you are tired, you can relax in our green Villa Comunale.
