The hostel is located on the ground floor of our house. The entrance is on the right side of the house. We have four rooms available. Room 1 and 2 have double bed in each and can accommodate 2 people per room. Room 3 has one double bed and one single bed so it can fit up to three people. Room 4 can fit 2 people, there are two single beds in that room. And if you have a smaller child we have cribs available to put in every room. All rooms are private but bathrooms, dining area and kitchen are shared. So there will probably be more guests at the same time as you. Me and my family live on the 1 floor of the house. We have three children at the ages 11, 6 and 3 years old. We have three family dogs that are never loose on the property. When you arrive I will probably be home please contact me before you arrive, or you can knock on the door (1 floor) do not just walk in..please. There is a unique mountains and sea view around our house, and you also have a view over the town (Breiðdalsvík). Please note that this also our family home so we hope that you will respect it.

We are a young couple with three children. We bought the property almost 4 years ago. My grandparents built the house about 30 years ago. When they built the house they put a gym and a sauna on the ground floor. My grandpa sold the property and another family bought it. They wanted to change the ground floor into a hostel. They did not finish it before we bought it. So when we bought it we finished it and now it is ready ! So now we live on the first floor and Þverhamar Hostel is on the ground floor. My man works on the harbor and I take care of the hostel. Also we are a farmers with 300 sheep few kilometers away from our house. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. Around our house there is a beautiful view of mountains and the sea. Hamar café is just up on the hill 500 meters away. There you can have amazing dinner(fish,meat,pizza,hamburgers,vegan). They also have coffee and cakes over the day. Kaupfjélagið is the local supermarket there you can buy a range of toiletries and food. They also serve food, coffee and cake over the day. Beljandi Brewery is located next to Kaupfjélagið, there you can get a local craft beer. Play pool and dart and enjoy yourself. There is a swimming pool in town open hours over summer, monday-friday from 14:00-20:00. Saturday and sunday 13:00-17:00. Hótel Bláfell is next to Beljandi and they offer lunch and dinner.
