You’re within walking distance of a supermarket, swimming pool, and other local comforts, yet surrounded by some of Iceland’s most untouched nature. Please note that the local swimming pool has extansive opning hours and has all the comfort you need with a pool. 3 hot tubs, 2 cold plunges, with opportunities to book massages and the sauna is one of the best ones in Iceland. We consider Bolungarvík one of the hidden gems of the Westfjords — a quiet fishing village with sandy beaches, dramatic mountains, and a historic church. Bolungarvík is just 12 km from Ísafjörður, the largest town in the region, with restaurants, museums, and more.

Bolungarvík is located about 12 km from Ísafjörður, the main town in the region, which also has an airport. Explore Skálavík, a black sand beach and former fishing cove that comes alive in the summer. It’s a favorite spot for families, and on warm days, locals swim in the Hylurinn pool in Langá River.
