The Tops was established in 1980 as accommodation for theatrical people who were appearing at The Grand Theatre, Leeds, in their touring productions. This style of accommodation in self contained apartments soon became so well known and popular with the professional Theatricals that the business was expanded to cater for other professionals as well as business people and guests who were on holiday. Over the years we have built up a following of regular clients who come back to The Tops whenever they are in Leeds. Some of them have been coming back for many years which indicates that we must be doing things right and pleasing our customers if they always want to come back for a return visit. With Leeds being such a vibrant City our guests are of a wide variety . They include people who come to work at one of our famous Hospitals or they are out-patients, visiting academics at the University, and many guests who are either in business or come from abroad to visit relations. All our apartments are graded 3* by Visit England. Try us yourself - we are always happy to welcome new guests.
As the owner and the founder of The Tops I enjoy being personally involved in the running of it. The personal touch is very important when dealing with customers because they have usually come from out of town or from abroad. There is nothing more welcoming for the guest that to be met in and shown round the accommodation, and nothing more impersonal than for them to be given the keys somehow and left to find their own way round, where everything is, and how everything works, all by themselves. It is for this reason that I make a point of meeting our guests when they arrive whenever possible. I hope to be meeting you at The Tops in the near future.
The Tops is in a superb location in a neighbourhood known as "Far Headingley". The property has it's own private car park, it's gardens are safe for children to play in and they are ideal for a picnic. There are 5 Restaurants within walking distance and 2 of them are virtually across the road. Also within half a mile away are 3 pubs, shops, supermarkets, and all amenities. The famous Headingley Carnegie Stadium which hosts International Cricket and Rugby matches is an easy walk from our location and the buses that run to and from the City Centre stop right outside the premises.
