The Stables is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay and is full of character. It's situated right in the heart of town near the lovely independent shops, cafes and restaurants, whilst enjoying a tucked away location down a small private road. The building itself is packed full of character and quirky features, from the old well cover in the entrance hall to the beautiful beamed ceilings found throughout the lounge, kitchen and dining areas. Quality furniture and fittings are in abundance, with comfortable sofas and beds and all the conveniences you'd find at home. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the main bathroom has a cast iron feature bath. These are all on the ground floor, with the lounge, kitchen and dining area upstairs. It's a truly unique and special place to stay.
I want all my guests to feel at home at The Stables and strive to make sure you have everything you need. If you have any special requirements or need any help with anything regarding your stay, just get in touch and I'll do my very best to help.
Southwell is a beautiful little market town which boasts a number of attractions on the doorstep or a short drive away. Within easy walking distance of The Stables is the famous Southwell Minster as well as the National Trust Workhouse which is well worth a visit. Southwell is also famous for it's lovely selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The racecourse is a 5 minute drive and Sherwood Forest is only 25 minutes away by car. Newark is also close by and boasts a castle, theatre, museums, shopping and riverside walks / boat trips. There's so much to do in the area that I've filled a folder with ideas and suggestions which you can look through at your leisure.
