From 3 Nov to 14 Dec 2025, our lift will be fully replaced. Rooms will be accessible via stairs only. We apologise for any inconvenience and are happy to assist with any questions. Ideally situated in the historic capital of Cumbria, the ibis Carlisle is just 200 metres from Carlisle Citadel Railway Station. On the outskirts of the Lake District, this modern hotel has easy access to the M6 motorway and local road network. - From East: A69 road signposted Carlisle City Centre. Follow all the way toward city centre and then take the left just after Papa John's pizza onto Cecil Street.
Free parking, car park English Gate Plaza South is located at the back of the hotel, please use the postcode CA1 1NT , entrance via Portland Place or Cecil Street. Parking is free from arrival till 12 noon on the day of check out, the back door will lead you to the reception area, please inform staff at check in to register your vehicle.
