Discover the longest path you've ever seen, turning your back on the famous castle and taking in the glorious views of the Long Walk, which leads in a straight line to Snow Hill, a raised mound topped by a statue of George III. Make sure you also pay a visit to the church of All Saints situated on Frances Road, where a lost altarpiece of the notable Thomas Hardy was found behind a screen, while the river side offers lovely walks with a congregation of swans to be spotted either side of the bridge.
