Tønder town is rich in culture, history and music (Tønder Festival – last week in August). Tønder's beautiful pedestrian street with many different shops, cafes and restaurants is also worth a visit. There are 4 good restaurants within 300 meters. See manual! The phenomenon of the 'Black Sun' can be experienced in March-April and again in September-October, when 100,000 starlings dance in the sky just before sunset. The lovely and beautiful island – Rømø, with Europe's widest and largest beach is only 40 minutes away by car. The German island of Sylt (Sylt – Germany's answer to Monaco) can also be visited within 1 hour by car and train from Niebøll.
