Our house is 600meter away from the Metro/S-Bahn station Birkenwerder. You can reach Berlin City Center within 25 minutes. The highways A10 and A111 are reachable within 5 minutes. It's a private apartment of 1 bedroom with 1 double bed with a single bed and a living room / kitchen combined with another sleeping couch for two. It is a basement apartment with half of the walls below the surface so it's warm in winter and cool in summer. We have windows and daylight in each room. The toilet uses an electric toilet pump that switches on when flushing the toilet or taking shower. Only toilet paper may be thrown into the toilet.
We are a family that travels and enjoys getting to know the rest of the world. Besides being hosts, we enjoy our five children and family trips. My parents live in the same house on the first floor. They are generally available for help or questions. My parents are the absolute best hosts ever, and they will make you feel welcome right away.
Birkenwerder is a quiet, original place surrounded by greenery, just outside Berlin. In the community live almost 8,000 inhabitants. Over half of Birkenwerder consists of forest land. Birkenwerder has many forest and hiking trails, including along the river Briese and the Briese Lakes. The northern border of the Berlin district Frohnau (district Reinickendorf) is just under three kilometers and the center of Berlin about 25 km away. Birkenwerders townscape is characterized by extensive residential areas with single-family homes and garden land as well as by the river Briese with its three lakes Boddensee, Briesesee and Mönchsee. The town center is determined by the town hall building, the Protestant church and the Clara Zetkin Street to the station forecourt, which is bounded by the S-Bahn station, the post office and a hotel.
