Norwegian that has been living in Switzerland since 2008 after 11 years in Canada. From Tromso, Norway, north of the Polar Circle. Interests: Outside sports such as hiking, snow shoeing, skiing, biking and swimming. Love the mountains and is very happy to be living in the beautiful Swiss Alps. Property information

La Griotte is located in the hearth of the Swiss Alps. Ideally located for all outside activities such as skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, etc. A charming authentic mountain chalet that dates back to 1850, it has kept its old charm while having been updated to today’s comfort. Centrally located in Chesierès, the old part of Villars, with all commodities in walking distance: restaurants, stores, ski rentals. The rooms have high quality beds and mattresses. The kitchen has been kept in old retro style, updated with all equipment of today where you can cook your meals. All bathrooms have been renovated over the last years. A living room with TV, DVD, films, games and books is at your disposal. Ski room and storage for bikes and motor bikes. Public free parking just outside the chalet. The chalet offers a family atmosphere with the common kitchen and living room. We please ask you to consider other guests and be quiet after 23 hrs. Easy access with bus stop across the street, where the free shuttle bus in the winter, takes you to the ski lift Roc d’Orsay, center of Villars and train station for the mountain train to Bretaye. Welcome to Chalet La Griotte!

Neighbourhood information

La Griotte is located at 1200 meter over sea level in the Vaud Alps with all it has to offer. Villars-sur-Ollon is one of the liveliest ski villages in Switzerland. It offers activities and entertainment all year. Ski lift is in walking distance and Alpes Vaudoises offers 630 km of pistes, including skiing on the Glacier 3000. Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe trails. All year inside Skating ring, Bowling hall, Tennis and 18 hole Golf Course with a spectacular view. Hiking and Mountain Bike trails. When saying for the period of June-October, a Free Access card is offered to all guests. It gives free access to all cable cars, local transport, lots of sport and other activities in Villars, Gryon and Les Diablerets. There are many restaurants and bars in Villars, as well as a night club. The outside bar in front of the train station offers live music Winter and Summer. For Easter, there is free live music in the pistes, as well as in the village. Easy access from Geneva Airport by train from the airport to Aigle and bus from Aigle train station that stops in front of the chalet. Bus stop: Residence de Soleil, Chesieres. Distances: 1 km from Villars-sur-Ollon.
