Hello! We would like to welcome you to an amazing private guest suite for your stay in Halifax. We are next to beautiful Long Lake Provincial Park, and only a 10-minute drive to downtown Halifax. You'll also have easy access to the province's main highways. Our suite is wheelchair accessible with no stairs, and we welcome people from all walks of life. We can accommodate 2 adults sharing a king bed. Close to public transit. The suite which comes with private access to a full bathroom, kitchenette, work desk or dining table, bedroom with queen bed and full closet, and a living room with a large TV and access to streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, Crave TV and DAZN. Internet (WiFi, and Ethernet on request) included. The suite is perfect for the leisure or business traveler (single or couple) looking for a quiet, comfortable and clean space to rest or work. The tap water is very safe to drink and we also provide a SodaStream for you to make your own sparking water. We would like to remind guests that we are welcoming you into our home, and it's not a hotel, so please be respectful of the house rules in the manual. Note we have pets onsite, one cat and one young puppy. The suite is closed at all times so they don't go inside and there is a separate heat pump for the suite so air isn't circulated for any allergy issues.

We live on the upper floors of the property and are happy to help you with any advice or recommendations about what to explore in Halifax and the Maritime region, whether it be the best restaurants, hiking trails, golf courses, historic sites, kayak options, or shopping! General House Rules: • Please leave shoes at front door, along with your jackets and coats. • Parking is on the street. Please don’t park in driveway as we need access to the garage. • At all times the main entry door should be kept shut to prevent the cat from escaping. Please ensure that the front door is locked when you go to bed at night. • Please turn off lights and electronics when not in use. If you are in for the night, please turn off outside door light. • As we live upstairs, we do ask you to respect the quiet time after 11:00 PM. • We ask that you please do not go beyond the ground floor. The upstairs is our private living quarters and we ask that you respect our privacy, just as we respect that of our guests. • Before your arrival we give you an access code for the front door of the house and the suite.

Explore the city beyond downtown Halifax! We are nearby many of Halifax's main attractions and being outside downtown gives you easy access to gems such as Crystal Crescent Beach, the Frog Pond, Chocolate Lake, Halifax Shopping Centre, York Redoubt National Historic Site, the Canada Games Centre, and Bayers Lake shopping area. You are just steps away from beautiful Long Lake Provincial Park with its 5,000 acres of lakes, forests, trails, rivers and streams that would be a jewel in the heart of any city. It is 5 times bigger than New York’s Central Park, and much more diverse. Home to abundant flora and fauna, this urban gem and its abundant amenities can be easily enjoyed from you location via a short walk. The 5-km trail nearby is wheelchair accessible, great for a sunset walk, a brisk jog, and skiing or snowshoeing. The lake is a beautiful spot for you to launch your kayak or canoe, or to skate in the winter. Note: While there is access to public transit, it's about a 7 minute walk to the nearest stop. There is an express bus that runs during the week about 30 seconds from our place. Our place is best suited for those travelling by car.
