Minnipa is a small rural town serviced predominately by the town of Wudinna to the east. Wudinna, 25 minutes east of Minnipa has a Foodland, chemist, butcher, bakery, mechanic, tourist information centre, pub and a little more. Minnipa has the Gawler Ranges National Park at its doorstep just 50 minutes by vehicle to the park entrance. The town is also home to a small store operating weekdays 9am to 4pm selling fuel, take away food, basic consumables and is a postal agency. There is also a pub in town. The main industry in the area is broadacre farming.
