We are originally, English born, professional actors whose core business is called "Live History" - we aim to make Hobart's history come alive using drama!! Guests can come and see us in our other roles as a convict woman, the brutal overseer or the kindly doctor at the Cascades Female Factory every day. Apart from that Judith is a keen gardener (reflected in the lovely garden in which 19 Blue is set) and Chris loves cryptic crosswords and vehement debating on just about any topic under the sun!!

Blackmans Bay is unashamedly a suburb of Hobart but such a beautiful one! 19 Blue has views over the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. The lovely beach at Blackmans Bay is just 8 minutes walk away. There are good restaurants and cafes along the beach front. There is a lovely cliff top walk along to nearby Kingston Beach which has cafes, a wine bar, a Natural Health Centre and some groovy shops. You must not miss a visit to Boho the most groovy cafe, clothing and homewares shop - it's our favourite! Just a minute's drive away from 19 Blue, guests can find Bayview Market which has just about everything you need: pharmacy, doctor's surgery, hairdresser, high class grocer, bakery, and sushi bar Many guests simply relax at 19 Blue and don't go anywhere beyond the immediate vicinity - Tasmania has such a laid back lifestyle!
