Ahí encontrarás más restaurantes. Ellos fueron encantadores preguntándome y recomendándome sitios o ayudándome con lo que necesitara saber sobre el viaje. Son encantadores y tienen dos hijos preciosos y muy buenos. La habitación tiene varias camas pero es grande y el baño está en la propia habitación, también grande y limpio, con lo básico necesario. Me ha encantado estar en esta estancia, de las más bonitas de mi viaje.

I’m from Japan!! This was such a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, and above all, the people are amazing. Kani is extremely friendly and kind. He did so many things for me!! I also admire his way of thinking—he truly values encounters and connections with people. You can see it not only in his words, but also in his actions. Thank you for the precious experience in Sigiriya!! Highly recommended!!! Some people may think it’s a bit far from Sigiriya Rock, but actually the entrance is on the west side, and I believe this is one of the few places within walking distance around there.

Excelente experiencia en la habitación superior con piscina interior. Cama muy grande y cómoda. Personal muy servicial y tanto desayuno como cena muy rico., aunque algo repetitivo. Pudimos alquilar bicicletas baratas y además nos ayudaron a reservar tanto el safari como el desplazamiento hacia Kandy. Repetiría sin duda.

The breakfast is far above the usual hostel standard—more like what you’d expect in a 3–4 star hotel. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience filled with good energy, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay.

I’ll admit, I only booked one night to test the waters, but with a perfect 10/10 rating from travellers across the globe (not just locals), I took a chance. I'm so glad I did. We had to reroute our entire trip due to heavy monsoon rains and limited accommodation options elsewhere. What began as a backup plan turned into the highlight of our journey. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and sincerity: “While you stay with us, you are part of our family.” And they meant it. No inflated tourist prices, no rehearsed smiles — just genuine people and heartfelt hospitality. The rooms are simple but clean and cosy with mosquito nets, and the atmosphere is something you can’t buy: peace, community, and a true slice of authentic Sri Lanka. We've stayed in far more expensive places on this trip, but none have matched the soul we found here. In a country where tourist traps can leave you feeling like a walking wallet, this place was refreshingly honest. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I come back? I extended another 3 nights. For £5 a night? It’s not about saving money — it’s about gaining perspective. This is the kind of rich that stays with you.

Staying at Hello Aliya feels less like a hostel and more like staying at an old friend’s house. The owner Isu is incredibly kind and respectful. The hostel is brand new so everything is incredibly clean. It is situated just off the main road. 2 minute walk to the bus stop, 10 mins walk to the entrance of Lion’s Rock, and a 10 minute drive to Pidurangala peak. I really enjoyed my stay there. As a solo woman, I felt safe and welcomed. The breakfast is lovely and the staff even taught me how to play carrom. After one month of traveling Sri Lanka, this is by far my favorite hostel.
