This beautiful guesthouse hosted by the most wonderful lady has an incredible view of the Nile. The facilities are clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and she was kind enough to make us a superb dinner too as we were too tired from our travels to go out. The lovely host is responsive and happy to organise cheap transport for you to go wherever you need in Aswan. It might seem out of the way but the location is perfect for all the sights. I would 100% return here to enjoy the beautiful view, the delicious home cooked food, and the company of the wonderful hostess.

For a budget hotel, we got 5-star service. Much has been said about superstar Biba, who owns Wanees. She has worked in hospitality, so while she now runs a “hostel” the care guests receive is exceptional. She booked our Nile boat trip, the taxi we needed to get to Cairo and checked in on WhatsApp — after hours and long after we finished paying for her services. A lovely person who truly cares about guests’ experience!

The owners were very kind and welcoming. They helped us with the trip to Abu Simbel and with transfers. They welcomed us with a cup of mint tea, which they grow themselves. The breakfast they prepared was delicious and very big. Amazing quality for good price. Strongly recommend!
