During my stay at Golden Sleep Hostel, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the guests (Ahmeti), who repeatedly smoked inside the dorm room despite being told not to. The smell of smoke made it very uncomfortable for me and the others in the room. To be fair, the hostel staff clearly informed him of the no-smoking policy and warned him multiple times. I really appreciated how the staff handled the situation — their effort to enforce the rules and ensure our safety was at the highest level. I believe this issue needs even stricter enforcement to avoid similar cases in the future. Other than that, the hostel was well located and the staff were kind and professional.

We stayed for one night in a private double room with an en-suite bathroom. The room was clean and functional, and the bathroom seemed recently renovated. The overall vibe of the hostel was relaxed and welcoming. A big plus was the host, Haris – he was friendly and really helpful, even arranging our trip to Valbona, including the pickup, at no extra charge - even though we stayed for only one night. The location is convenient: it’s about a 10-minute walk to the small city center of Shkodra, which has a couple of pedestrian shopping streets. There are also supermarkets and restaurants just around the corner. Thanks again, Haris – much appreciated!

Lovely place in a great location, super close to center st the same time in a quiet peaceful place surrounded by greenery, the owners are very kind, helpful, friendly, the room is spacious, kitchen and bathroom well equipped, very comfortable, we felt at home. The owner recommended some tours which we took and they were amazing, the best part of all was the cutest fluffy dog :) cannot recommend more!
