It was a wonderful stay, like a hidden paradise. Manoji and Manitha are amazing people — so kind and truly wonderful hosts. The room I stayed in was excellent and very comfortable. Colombo 07 Charming Home Stays se encuentra a 2,9 km de Playa de Bambalapitiya y a 3,3 km de Estación de tren Bambalapitiya, en Colombo. A nice, quiet place to stay in the Cinnamon Gardens away from the frenetic city center. The rooms are large and bright and the house is lovely. The host is very wonderful and helpful, a delight to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay there. We’d be happy to stay there again on our next trip to Sri Lanka. There is not much to eat around the guest house, it is a quiet residential neighborhood with sports fields and offices and such. It is quite pleasant to walk around. A 200-300 rupee tuk tuk ride will bring you to several places to eat, bank etc. We highly, highly recommend eating at Ran Bath Organic which was recommended to us by the host. The food there is perhaps the best we had in our entire trip. Also, a short walk up Maitland is the Glomark supermarket where you can find a wide range of items, as well as alcohol and a pharmacy. Upstairs is a small food court. The food doesn’t really stand out, but if you don’t want to go very far to get something to eat, that’s the place to go. Skip the laundry at the side, it’s very expensive and very slow.

But most of all the host is very kind and friendly, she helped us with every little thing. The neighborhood is nice, a bit out of the center, but that makes it quiet, and you will find restaurants on walking distance.

This villa was the perfect location for our visit to the passport office. We traveled to Sri Lanka and were able to obtain the passport under the emergency service. The villa is within walking distance of the Sri Lanka Immigration (Passport Office), making the process much more convenient. The place was very good—clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with big rooms. The owner was extremely helpful, accommodating our requests, and allowing us to come and go at any time. Highly recommended!

The vibe was cozy and comfortable and very relaxing. Gamini was the perfect host and made sure everything was smooth and enjoyable. Max was a joy and made the place seem so much more homely. Would definitely come back here for future stays.
