Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Amazing stay at Starfish Cabbana. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Amazing garden, comfy bed and room with A/C. Great breakfast, different every day - and the best avocado toast that I had! Location is perfect, just a few steps from the main road and the beach. Last but not least, amazing hospitality! Thari was super friendly and available, and even helped us book a bus ticket.

Bashir and team made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, in addition to helping with Tuktuks and various questions. Breakfast was excellent and went until 11. We were located at the end of the strip which was perfect for us as we were happy to walk in and wanted to be out of the party scene. Arugam was a fun location with plenty of buzz for our teenagers along with getting in some good surfing.

This accommodation is off the Main Street, which meant it was quiet at night. The aircon was very welcome and bottled water is available at the hotel, meaning I didn’t have to bring it in. The owner / manager is very accommodating and helpful. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. He assisted me in finding a car to drive to my next location for a very reasonable price. Next time I will stay in Arugum Bay for longer and definitely back at the Bavarian Resort. Highly Recommended
