The couple running the place are really kind, they treated me like family. We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. Thank you, Taku and Midori for a nice stay.

The traditional japanese room is big and spacious, and while no bath is available on premise, Mr. Suzuki drove me to both a public bathhouse and local restaurant in the evenings. Mrs. Suzuki had a very large and delicious japanese meal cooked up for breakfast. The pair were even kind enough to help me plan out my trip around the local area after breakfast! Located a short walk away from Hiraizumi station and an even shorter walk to the nearby Mōtsū-ji, I highly recommend Minpaku Suzuki to anyone interested in staying in Hiraizumi! Will definitely be planning another stay!

Situado en Ichinoseki, a 14 km de Motsuji Temple, Matakitai cuenta con hospedaje con un jardín, estacionamiento privado de cortesía y un salón compartido. La casa es espectacular. El propietario lo tiene todo muy bien montado con instrucciones claras sobre la cocina, el baño, las habitaciones, información sobre las atracciones turísticas más cercanas, las tiendas y un largo etc. El desayuno es muy barato y buenísimo!! Además, te deja elegir hora entre las 6 y las 9 de la mañana para preparártelo. Para llegar hasta la casa hay que bajarse en la estación de Mataki y está a unos 5 minutos caminando. No hay demasiados trenes durante el día pero sí los suficientes teniendo en cuenta que es una zona rural, tan solo hay que saber el horario que tienen.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse está ubicado en Matsushima, a 23 km de Sendai City Community Support Center y a 5 minutos a pie de Entsuin Temple. The owner is incredibly kind, and we really enjoyed our daily conversations with him before and after exploring Matsushima. The facilities were clean and pleasant, and the guest rooms are located on the first floor, while he and his wife live downstairs. The location was perfect, and the owner was very helpful with recommendations for places to eat, things to see, and other tips. A special thanks goes to him and his wife on our last day, when we had to be evacuated due to a tsunami warning. They took care of us and brought us to safety further inland. They made sure we stayed informed, drove us around to find food, and helped us find a place to sleep for the night. This experience truly reflects their warm hospitality. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Japan. (If you are into music i believe you will enjoy seeing his record collection) crazy 😁

Ubicado a 8 minutos a pie de Zao Onsen, Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte ofrece hospedaje de 3 estrellas en Zao Onsen y cuenta con un jardín, un restaurante y un bar. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

The hotel located right next to Zuishinmon so it’s very easy to hike Mt.Haguro from this location and also close to bus stop as well. The room is traditional Japanese room with futon and also air conditioner. The place has a shared bathroom and washroom. The food was very delicious. I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.

Establecido en Zao Onsen y con Zao Onsen a 6 minutos a pie, Pension Puutaro ofrece un jardín, habitaciones para no fumadores, WiFi gratis en toda la propiedad y un restaurante. Everything very clean. Very large room for single or 2 persons, can probably fit a whole family. Keiko was super nice and helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants. There’s just a lot of attention to every detail overall. The toilets even had the highest quality toilet paper I’ve ever seen in Japan😀 The price in summer/off season was very fair. There is no AC but it should unusually not be needed. Even when it was 37 degree in Tokyo it was only 25 in Zao onsen.
