The villa is absolutely stunning, the grounds are beautiful and my room was very clean and comfortable. It's the perfect spot for solo travellers. I met great people at the villa who soon became travel buddies and are now friends. Giorgio was wonderful, answering any questions, making sure I had everything I needed. If you do yoga / meditation there is a beautiful sanctuary set up on the grounds where you can practice. Absolutely sublime! I had the most amazing trip and Villa Clarissa was a big part of that.

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was excellent but if have a little stove will be great

This guest house features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. Everything was lovely. The food was amazing, so were the drinks in the restaurant right next to the guesthouse. High speed WiFi. The beach was close by. Large and spacious room. Very clean and tidy. Wonderful staff. Enough free parking spots.

At the guest house, the units include bed linen and towels. Juan Carlos is a Swiss/Spanish nice and easy going guy. He is a perfect host. I felt really comfortable in his house. He made sure I had a great and genuine experience in my short time in the island, and treated me as a friend. He was kind enough to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner at a very fair price. Same for boat transportation to the island. It was great to walk around and share some talks with him. The place is simple, as I would expect for an small island, but tidy and clean. The washroom is private, and it is outside the room. Don’t expect a hotel room. He also let me use, as a courtesy, his standup board, snorkel and bicycle. You could also rent for a very fair price his little moto. Don’t forget your repellent as I did. Juan has a nice little dog Mandy which fast will be your friend. I highly recommend the place, and I really hope I can come back! Finally, you pay the accommodation and other things you consume with cash only, so bring enough cash, as you won’t have ATMs around. Don’t leave your garbage behind!

This is the only place I'll stay in Santo Domingo. It's right in the middle of the Colonial Zone which is safe to walk around day and night for tourists. The rooftop view is STUNNING and I caught the sunrise and sunset each day. The kitchen is huge and modern and was a pleasure to cook in - just make sure to ask for a cutting knife if you need :)

Offering a garden and quiet street view, casa maria is set in La Romana, 8.1 km from Teeth of the Dog and 12 km from Dye Fore. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. Honestly everything was great. Maria is so sweet and she runs the place herself. She makes breakfast every morning and makes getting around for the day easy, just ask and she'll call up a motocoach or car. It's on the upper floor of her house (separate entrance up the stairs) and there's three rooms that are a great size with modern bathrooms, fans and A/C. The shared area is spacious and gorgeous, with a full kitchen, dining table and a nook with comfy chairs by the windows. It's in a residential area with a colmado on the corner if you need a quick snack or drink. All in all I think this was my favorite place I stayed at while in DR, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in La Romana :). (Pics were taken after checkout but the linen and sheets were great as well!)

The property is around 3.2 km from Malecon, 6.8 km from Blue Mall and 7 km from Agora Mall. The guest house features family rooms. The hostel is very well located in the middle of the colonial zone. It is very safe !! The receptionist was really helpful, answered all of my questions and recommended public transport for me to get to another city. The wifi was good. The A/C was good. There was a fridge in the room.
