Stayed one night and 100% loved the place, there's so much to like. The room is cutely-designed and super clean, nice bathroom, good A/C. Super quiet except for the waves crashing in the distance. Breakfast was very satisfying and complete...egg, yogurt, apple, cereal, coffee, bread, jam. You can pay with a credit card and no % fee added. Although my room did not have a balcony there is a really nice area with a table & chairs looking out to the ocean so you don't need one. I did not use the pool but laid on the chaise for a while, so nice and peaceful. Sure it's a 10-minute walk to the main little square (I timed it once at 9min 50sec) but that's not an issue, it's a very pleasant stroll.

The hosts were so friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was made with a lot of care and was delicious. We loved being in this little village and the beautiful beach was nearby. We were also able to rent bikes and a car for one day thanks to them. Thank you making our stay so enjoyable and for being great hosts. Muito obrigado!

Casa Tota, un alojamiento con un jardín y una terraza, está establecido en Assomada, a 34 km de Cape Verde National Stadium, 40 km de Sucupira Market, así como a 40 km de Ethnography Museum. Atiende una señora mayor, se llama Solmira, es sumamente amable, ordenada, atenta, servicial, la casa está muy limpia, la higiene es perfecta. Sumamente recomendable

Contando con vistas a la montaña, Casa Tota tiene hospedaje con una terraza y balcón, y se ubica aproximadamente a 34 km de Cape Verde National Stadium. A nice view from a spacious balcony, beautiful interior and gorgeous paintings on the wall. It was fascinating to stay here for one night in our trip through the island. Apart of that, we got the receipt and tasting of craft grog drink which is so good.

Cactus Guest House tiene una alberca al aire libre, jardín, una zona de playa privada y salón compartido en Cidade Velha. The house is so beautiful! The location is great, although the surrounding area (streets) is still under construction so it can be rough terrain to walk through to the main village if you are not able to walk well. Spectaculair view of the sea and the waves crashing on the rocky coast. Breathtaking! House is clean and well maintained. Garden too. Multiple rooms are rented out and you share the kitchen, living room and outside area with swimming pool. The coast in town has a little beach but is more a place where the locals put there fishing boats in the water. Sometimes someone swims there and that is possible but it is dark brown beach sand and quite big waves, so we didn’t swim in the sea there. If you rent a car somewhere you would be able to visit other places in the island from Cidade Velha. Staff very friendly and stay out of your way. We didn’t take the breakfast, but there is the possibility. The caretaker showed us the way to the village and the small supermarket shops for some groceries. There isn’t much available, but Praia is very close by (you can take a local white transportation van for only a euro into Praia on the main road) and it is a very nice place to stay away from the big town. We stayed in multiple places in Santiago and thought this was the most beautiful location to stay in the island.

Nice welcoming. * I contacted them in advance ; friendly and helpful communication. * They can arrange taxi from / to airport ( But be aware that, at night, it may cost around 18 EUR / 1800 , CVE. ( April 2025) . However, this would be perhaps cheaper than catching one the airport . I cant remember how much it was on the day time but maybe around 12ish. *important* Payment is nothing to do with Mendes Family! directly with the taxi driver) 10-15 mins ride. * Basic breakfast is included yet fills enough at morning. > Sweet yellow thing , I think it was made by sugarcane ? was nice < * Lovely cat; Doesn't bother people ( Just be aware if you have a allergy or scared of ) its friendly. * (since its a family house, only cash can be accepted since its not a hotel.) * Thanks a lot for that they kindly waited for my late arrival due to the long delay with my flight. <3 I would stay again if I pass by Praia

It is located in the wonderful area of Praia with a lovely view of the city port, a few minutes away on foot from the main attractions of the central Praia.

Establecido en Praia y con Praia Negra a 12 minutos a pie, A Casa da Mizi ofrece un salón compartido, habitaciones para no fumadores, WiFi gratis en toda la propiedad y una terraza. A nice and affordable place. We stayed only for one night as we had another flight early in the morning. The host, Maria is extremely polite and friendly. Even though she says she doesn’t speak English very well, there were 0 issues whatsoever in terms of communication. Overall a great place to lay your head down for a few days or even a week.
