Wonderful views of the Laguna Bacalar! The owner, Horacio, is very helpful and informative - he even gave us a Lonely Planet of Yucatan for free. A walk from the town center, but fortunately there is a very good restaurant nearby the Amigos Hotelito. It is expensive for Mexican standards since - with its heavenly lagoon - Bacalar has become a highlight in Yucatan. The price is right for the location.

The location is great. Santiago, the host, was very gracious and inviting. There is a communal kitchen with fridge space and microwave, stove, and even a compost bin. The room was clean and had the best shower pressure I've ever experienced. lol Dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are built into the shower wall which was very convenient and appreciated. The AC worked great, the wifi worked great, really no complaints.

It's rustic and if you like it simple you'll like it. Has all you need although the kitchen is super small. But the location is amazing, 1 min from the lagoon

In this B&B you will find absolutely amazing staff! I had to plan my trip in Belize and the owner helped me with the logistics. The house is clean, the bedroom has fresh bedsheet and towels. A/C and wifi working perfectly. The bed was comfortable and no noises bothering my sleep. The bathroom is shared with another room and has both shower and bathtube. It was very clean. The area is quiet, safe and close to the airport and about 8-10 mins by car to Chetumal center/port. Overall I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend.
