FinlandThe room (in the back yard, double room with own toilet & shower) was very good for the price. The location is perfect, in a quiet area, and just a short walk to the village. The food was very tasty, with vegetarian options available. The staff was super friendly, always smiling. We stayed for 10 nights and wouldn't have wanted to leave. Try the sunset cruise with their catamaran :) also the National park is a short walk away from the lodge, so we took a hike towards the view point and to Otter Point.

Dinner had to be pre-ordered but consisted of a buffet of some delicious curries. Drink prices are very reasonable, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful and friendly. Very friendly staff and nice bar with good meals. I really enjoyed my three day stay at Thumbi View. Large comfortable bed with mosquito netting and lots of hot water and big thick towels! The village is quite small with a few lodges and restaurants and shops but everything you need is here. Went out to a local bar with a pool table one night which was full of locals and very friendly with great Malawian music playing. I will definitely be back.Guest review byRobertSolo traveller
