Such a sweet family. The breakfast was enough for double the amount of people. The room is very clean and has a nice balcony. They also booked us a tuktuk and came with us to the bus station to make sure we get on the right bus safely. We felt so welcome and comfortable.

An amazing property and family. The room was huge and spacious with fan and AC and the bathroom was big. The whole property was very clean and tidy. The owner, his wife and daughter were lovely and made us so welcome. The daughters English is fantastic and she loves to practice it with you. This has to be the best place we stayed in 16 days in Sri Lanka. If you are doing a safari to Yala then this place is so close to the entrance (closer thank Tisso) and the owner can organise a jeep at a very good price. The owners wife even allowed me to watch and help her cook our dinner in her kitchen. The food was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place.

Our stay at this guesthouse was fantastic! The room was the best we had during our entire trip—super comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, and reliable WiFi. The owners were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They prepared a delicious breakfast and snacks for our early morning safari, which was really thoughtful. We also had an amazing tuk-tuk tour around the lake, where we saw crocodiles, water buffalos, various birds, and thousands of fruit bats—such an incredible experience! On top of that, they added a special touch by decorating our bed beautifully for our honeymoon, which made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tissamaharama!

We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.

Very nice and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. They also served good Sri Lankan breakfast and had food available. When leaving, they drove us to the bus station which was very nice of them. Highly recommend this place.
