AMAZING view, amazing food, great and sweet staff. Really nice pool. Great walks in the area. We also visited the tea factory which was very insightful. Some grey hornbills right outside our window ♥️ We felt very comfortable and at home and at ease at Rangala House. Highly recommend to stay! Don’t doubt, book!

We loved this place. The facilities were perfectly clean and the bed was very confortable. You also have a living room with sofa. The breakfast and the dinner were very good quality meals and very tasty. The staff even served us early so that we could leave for the day, they were very friendly and answering our questions and requests. We felt very welcomed. The owner was not here himself at this moment, however he always made himself present during the whole stay by whatsapp and was able to answer all our questions. He is a wildlife photographer so feel free to ask him if you are also interested in spotting fauna!! You can rent a scooter to the homestay. Thanks to the owner recommandations, we went to Dotalugala to hike a bit, and the view to get there during the scooter ride was magnificent. In a sunny days you can see the mountains. Always propre a raincoat as the weather changes unexpectedly. If you are brave enough, you can drive 3h to visit the village of Meemure, at the end of that same road. Driving there is so beautiful that time flies. It is easy to come from Kandy, go to the bus station and ask for Wegala, the destination is usually Hunnasgiriya or further.

We loved this accommodation. Located in Rangala and not far from the Knuckles Mountain Range, our room had a fantastic mountain view. The room was spacious and clean and the owner was very welcoming. There is a beer house downstairs which was a great way to meet some of the locals. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was excellent.

We put 10 out of 10 because we cannot put more. The area is amazing, off the beaten-path Our host Rohana is extremely knowledgeable about his country and more, his English is very good, we could converse with him for hours. The dishes prepared by himself and Nisha were absolutely delicious. Last but not least, the room has the biggest bed that we have never seen and comfy, the view is breathtaking on the landscape, sunrise, sunset,… This place is an hidden gem for nature lovers, people seeking for authentic and genuine encounters with locals. The staff was amazingly friendly! It was absolutely calm and quiet, so perfect to relax! We really liked that there is only 4 rooms😍 the breakfast was delicious (you can choose between Sri Lankan or western, we did both once). Rooms were very clean! Also you can order food from the other hotel nearby, so no need to go out for dinner.
