The hosts took such good care of us and made sure we had a wonderful time here! The futon beds were very comfortable. The piano added an extra touch and my mother and I enjoyed playing it a little.

The owners were fantastic, giving us great advice on travelling around Kyoto with the kids, great restaurant recommendations and advice on attractions. The kids loved their Doraemon gift, so very kind thank you!

Where to start… This was without exaggeration the best stay we had so far in Japan! The room was excellent, with amazing view and the area was quiet but still walking distance to everything. Kevin was so kind, from before our trip until the very last minute. You can feel the Japanese hospitality the second you get in contact with Kevin. He even offered us a ride to the station with all our heavy luggage’s while he has a busy schedule. We also checked in earlier, our room was ready at 11:00, and we could check out at 12:00. This was luxury to us. We didn’t even ask for it but it was very welcome to say the least since we were a bit sick and jet lagged from our first days in Japan 😊. This whole experience exceeded way beyond our expectations! Wish we stayed longer in Kyoto. Arigato gozaimasu Hatsune Guesthouse 🙏🏼

The location is perfect. Only 3 minutes walk to Kiyamachi dori, a old street along the Takase river, which is a famous location for Sakura viewing if you visit Japan by April. The hotel is by far my most favourite hotel in Japan. It feels like home. The room is spacious and comfort.

Staying at Haruka’s house was a fantastic experience. I am so glad I decided for this accommodation in Kyoto! The room was comfortable and well equipped. The neighborhood is quiet yet well connected (buses and train lines). What made the real difference, though, were the hosts Haruka and Takeda that have a genuine interest in ensuring all is well, provide useful information about the city and make you really feel at home! Takeda even drove me to the station as I had so much luggage! And Haruka is such a nice person! I recommend Haruka’s house with no hesitation and hope to be back soon again :-)

This was my second time here. The hosts of this family-run small inn are so welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are really comfortable. The location is close to many major sights (museums, temples) and right around the corner from a train station if you want to go farther.

The house is near Kyoto station and bus stops. The room was clean, comfortable and very convenient. The host and the staffs are are so kindness and helpful. A male staff drove us to the Kyoto Station when all taxies were unavailable and another female wrapped our paper bag by plastic bag because it was raining. I highly appreciate these people this place, and will continue to stay here when I come back to Kyoto.
