The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, and his English was very good. The facilities completely met our needs, the building was very accessible by train and close to many beautiful stops around Ome, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a house share here.

The host, Yoko, is the best. She is such a relaxed and funny person and made me feel so at home. The room was amazingly beautiful, it was a real traditional Japanese tatami room like how you’d imagine a traditional Japanese house to be. I got to try many new flavors of food and the station, hospital, supermarkets, good places to eat (try Tanayaka for really good and authentic noodles) and mountains are all close by. And the traditional bath and shower are a great and very clean place to relax after a long hike. Bonus: you can climb a mountain from where you can see all over Tokyo if the weather is good. If you want to quickly get out of Tokyo for a few days to unwind and relax, this is the perfect place.

Everything was super clean and tidy. There was a washing machine we could use and a dryer, which was super helpful during rainy days when it took forever to dry the clothes. The host was super friendly and very helpful.

Really cosy lodging! I was surprised at the quality of the rooms - they’re really big with locks for privacy! I always felt at ease. It reminded me of houses I’ve stayed in growing up in Europe. There is a washing machine at the accommodation, near the super spacious shower room, just not a dryer. There’s a shared kitchen, and dining table and sofa in the living room. The host was really supportive and lively and gave me a tour of the area, including the local automated coin laundry place just down the road which has dryers too. The location is great for accessing the local 7-eleven, and the station is a short walk down a few blocks.
