The stunning location, set literally at the end of 20+ km of unpaved road, on its own lagoon, a few metres from the ocean, with only the sounds of the birds and frogs to disturb the peace. The owners, super helpful and friendly, sociable but never intrusive. The property itself, self-contained units with rustic simplicity and total privacy.

Nice place to stay with rooms with airconditioning, a short walk from the beach and restaurants. The owner Javier is friendly and was able to help us with booking our tours. He was also our tour guide in Corcovado NP on our overnight trip there. This was the highlight of our visit to Costa Rica. Javier is very knowledgeable and we saw tapirs, sloaths, anteater and many other animals. Our drive to Drake Bay was hard without a 4x4. Would not recommend. With 4x4 doable.

On arrival I was given a fresh bowl of fruit just like that, the room was tidy and the bathroom was clean as well. The location was super close to the beach but still tucked away from the main road. It was close to all the shops and the staff was incredibly nice. I felt at home! Great for someone who is travelling alone and needs some privacy after having slept at hostels.

Fernando and Kirani are amazing, they are managing the hostel and are giving their heart to it. They are able to do anything for you whatever you need. They cook breakfast, and dinner, they book tours, pick-up transfers, anything. You can rely on them at any time. View over the bay, hammocks, and garden in a remote place in Drake bay - something different. Very relaxed.

We have spent a wonderful time in Corcovado Mountain house. We came to Costa Rica to observe wildlife and this was the highlight of our three weeks trip. The hotel is next to the jungle and primary forest. We saw toucans, monkeys, and a lot of various animals all day coming to the garden of the hotel. If you are lucky, you can see tapir as well. Victor is a very friendly host and knows much about wildlife. He can offer you a jungle tour to see the waterfalls. It was the best tour we had in Costa Rica and absolutely worth the money!

Great spot, right at the beach. You can hear the waves at night. Ana and Gio are great hosts. They gave us nice advice about things to do. The co-living in the house went very smooth. The bed was very big and comfortabel. We slept downstairs. Ana was so kind to bring some forgotten clothes all the way to San Isidro. Thank you both so much :). One of the most incredible places to stay in Costa Rica! The cabin is very rustic and surrounded by lush trees, birds and wildlife - we had hummingbirds flying around! There’s a river nearby which is a great place for swimming and we saw lots of Tucan, Macaws and monkeys on the road leading to Los Platos. If youre looking for a quiet escape with no tourists, this is perfect! The host is one of the most genuine and kind people i have met! he also does guided hikes but these need to be booked in advance. The internet was fast and reliable (10mbps) and the kitchen was equipped with a stove top, fridge, coffee machine (coffee provided) and all the cutlery and pots/pans you need. So bring your own groceries as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Theres a fan in the room and only a cold shower but thats just what we wanted after spending the days out in the heat! We arrived using public transport to La Palma and then took a 3000 colones taxi to Corcovado Guide House which is 2 km from the town. Thank you so much for a wholesome stay!
